About Klothari

Klothari was born from a simple play on words — an amalgamation of the founder’s surname, “Kothari,” and “Kloth,” our take on cloth.

But the name became more than just a word. It became a thought — to create clothes made for the in-between.

For the days that don’t fit into one category.
For moods that change, styles that evolve, and women who refuse to be defined by just one version of themselves.

Klothari is about contemporary clothing with character — effortless, versatile, and made to move with you.

  • From the first idea to the final look — a little glimpse behind our first chapter.

  • OUR INSPIRATION

    Where It Started

Every piece began with an idea, an inspiration and a love for reimagining Indian dressing.

  • Made With Intention

From choosing fabrics to perfecting every detail, each piece went through its own journey before becoming part of the collection.

  • Finding the Right Fit

Samples were tried, adjusted and refined until every silhouette felt just right.

  • Behind the Scenes

A day of styling, creating, shooting and bringing the collection to life.

  • And Then, Klothari

Our first collection — finally brought to life.

Styling tip: Keep the bottom relatively clean and uncomplicated—the pearl waist detail + sculptural draping should remain the focal point.

  • Discover the story behind its jewellery-built neckline

  • This neckline is designed to blur the line between jewellery and clothing — with cascading pearls, delicate embellishments and intricate detailing placed directly onto the silhouette.

  • Instead of reaching for a statement necklace, the kurta creates one of its own.

  • The result is an understated yet striking expression of Indian craftsmanship — ornate, feminine and effortlessly modern. A neckline that doesn’t need an accessory. It is the accessory.

  • Veda takes on a fresh, unexpected mood when styled with a statement blouse instead of a conventional blouse pairing. The metallic texture adds a touch of resort glamour, while the fluid drape keeps the look effortlessly Indian.

  • Keep the accessories minimal and let the sculptural silhouette, rich gold tones and dramatic layering take centre stage. Modern, polished and made for evenings that call for something different.

  • Veda, Off-Duty Glamour

Take Veda from draped elegance to modern resort dressing by pairing it with the matching metallic balloon pants. The coordinated texture creates a head-to-toe statement, while the relaxed silhouette keeps the look effortlessly cool.

Layered delicate jewellery and barely-there heels add just enough polish without competing with the metallic finish. A fresh take on Indian occasionwear—bold, contemporary and unapologetically glamorous.
